Our Raid Teams
Informal has two raid teams, which we call our A-Team and our B-Team. Our A-Team consists of players who are willing to dedicate themselves fully to raid, constantly improving their performance even in minute ways, coming with world buffs and consumables, and having all their BiS out of raid gear and enchants. Our B-Team raid consists of people who enjoy raiding, yet don't have the time or money to commit themselves as fully to top-notch performance. Consequentially, A-Team typically clears content faster and more smoothly than B-Team.
Loot Rules
A-Team is governed by a transparent Loot Council, while B-Team is mostly free roll MS>OS. Loot Council is important for A-Team, because it allows planning for what benefits the raid most. For the purposes of transparency, all gear is decided upon outside of raid, with the full input of all the raiders. From there, Class Leaders create and publish a public Loot List, that shows who has received what and who is next in line.
B-Team is mostly free roll MS>OS, with two exceptions. Firstly, initiates to the guild may roll only for offspec. New recruits are promoted from initiate to raider status after two weeks straight of raiding with the guild. Secondly, there are 10 big-ticket items in Phase 4 that are Loot Counciled in B-Team. All raiders will have their names on the Loot List for these 10 items.
Class Leaders welcome any feedback or conerns about loot, and are willing to provide their reasoning for any decisions made.

Rules during Raid

3. If a raider is late and a replacement is found, the replacement shall not be made to give his spot up for the late raider.
4. Raiders shall not distract from the raid at hand, and issues arising during raid not in need of immediate response should be brought up after the raid.

Consumables for Raid
During progression we expect all raiders to bring consumables (not including flasks). You can find a list of consumables for your class here.
Raids are considered to have transitioned from progression to farm status when they can be cleared within one raid day without a full wipe, at which point it is no longer necessary to use consumables. Nevertheless, Class Leaders are instructed to take note of raiders who consistently come to raid with consumables anyway, and work that into their calculations of who should be brought to future raids and who should be given priority on loot.
Flasks will not be needed by everyone until at least progression in Phase 5 and 6.
At the end of each phase, we may host a speed clear to show what we as a guild are capable of at our best. In these instances, those participating in the speed clear will be asked to bring more consumables than usual, including flasks.

World Buffs
World Buffs are encouraged, but not required. Class Leaders are instructed to take note of raiders who consistently come to raid with world buffs, and work that into their calculations of who should be brought to future raids and who should be given priority on loot.
World buffs include: Dire Maul Tribute, Head of Onyxia, Songlower, and more.

Professions
We have guild crafters for each primary profession (find the list here), but all raiders must have First Aid. Starting with the release of AQ in phase 5, all raiders are required to have engineering.
